MRIN-67 Mr. Barlet and Mary Conrad

Mr. Barlet and Mary Conrad

My 6th great grandparents

MRIN-67

Please keep in mind that this is research in progress. I am working on gathering as many of the documents, stories and pictures as possible to put together as much of an accurate story about their lives as I can. Don’t take anything as fact until it is verified.

Mr. Barlet

At this point I know nothing about this man. Not even his first name. It appears that Mary Conrad had two children with two different men and that she married neither of them.

Mary Conrad

  • Born: before 1750 in Canton Berne, Switzerland. Her father, Jacob Conrad, was a widower when he left Europe in 1750. He made the trip with his children and his brother.
  • Married:
  • Died: before 1775 (the wording of her father’s will as he named what he was leaving to Mary’s two young children leads me to believe that she died before he did in 1775).
  • Age: estimated around 30 years old +/- a couple of years
  • Cause of Death:
  • Buried: Most likely in the Conrad Family Cemetery, located on what was her father’s homestead in Ruddle, Pendleton County, West Virginia *Not Verified*
  • Parents: Jacob Conrad and Svena Louk

Children of Mary Conrad

  1. Margaret Barlet married Thomas Collett Sr.
  2. John Clifton (1767-1842)
